Hello! I am a student located in Michigan, currently in their second year of working towards a bachelor's degree in information technology. I have been working in the insurance industry for about six years. Previously, I worked for a handful of years helping a small business manage inventory on their company website.

I chose IT as my field of study as I have always had an innate interest and predisposition towards most things computers. I had attended community college when I was right out of high school working towards a degree in networking, though I did not obtain my degree at the time. Now, I am working to finish my education and am working towards a general IT degree - I am hoping to make my way through the full breadth of IT knowledge throughout my current classes to help determine my ultimate career goals/aspirations. At this time, my preeminent area of focus is still networking, and I would eventually like to enter into a career as a network administrator.

This blog serves as a personal outlet for writings on IT subjects, in hopes of supplementing and progressively tracking the path of my IT education. I will cover the history of technology, review applications, and discuss current trends in the IT field.
